Jooooooseph out to pasture

“The greatest fools are ofttimes more clever than the men who laugh at them.”
― George R.R. Martin, A Storm of Swords

Whaddup Fools,

I’m learning a lot from these few short weeks of publishing a newsletter. Like, what days are best to send, what should I cover, should VRYCLVR even be the name, and do people even care?

Thank you for your patience and being a supporter. Feedback and ideas are welcome - For years, I’ve been more adept at communicating through sound effects as a beatboxer guy and I’ve not normally been one for public use of words (with the exception of my podcast). Shying away from the whole social media public declarations is seemingly abnormal in times like these (related: fascinating article).

and for now: I’ll continue moving forward in service of whatever makes sense!

Onward to this week’s NWSLTTR!

Some Things Sold:

Some random Amazon products that I’ve found useful in my life.

  • I’ve gotten two of these as a present for kids and I still get videos from their parents of them playing it. It has various modes, tons of sounds, and can even sample their voice!

Something News:

Here’s a funny personal story…

A day after Halloween last year I was walking the dog pretty late at night and I discovered a pony-sized sculpture-of-sorts of a horse. It was pretty masterfully done and I was certain… it belonged in our backyard. Grabbing a dolly from the basement, we transported him (we named it “Jooooooseph”).

There he sat for 5 months through rain, snow, and wind. Come last week, it was time to put Jooooooseph out to pasture. Of course, he was noticed:

Someone picked him up and messaged me. Jooooooseph now has a new home.

Morals of the story:

  1. You can find anything on the streets of New York.

  2. For every thing, there is an every one.

  3. Horses don’t always get turned to glue.

Some Things Followed:

Here are three cool similarly visually motivating accounts I like on IG:

Some Thing to Do:

GO CAMPING!

For the price of an AirBNB, check out these beautiful Airstream Camping opportunities. Now that the nicer weather is approaching, what are some places you travel to that are hidden gems? Questions about mine? The beautiful Santa Teresa in Costa Rica and a camping ground in upstate NY Narrowsburg - reply to this email for my personal rundown!

Happy Spring! That’s it for this week, keep it CLVR!
